There have been a lot of babies visiting the KP Photography studio lately, and I have loved every minute of it! Since I want to keep the babies coming in, I am offering a special sale exclusively for children age newborn to one year old. This is a discount that I have never offered before, so I am pretty excited about it! If you book any of my baby packages during the month of May, you will get $50 off of your package price! That means even if you are pregnant now and not due until September, I will still honor the discount if you book in May! The only requirement to book your session is to pay a $65 retainer to hold your session date, and that will go towards the package of your choice.
Newborn photography is incredibly challenging, yet rewarding at the same time. It is so amazing to be a part of the baby's life when they are just days old. My newborn sessions typically last about three hours to get through feedings, changings, and getting baby nice and sleepy. I photograph all newborns within five to fourteen days after delivery to ensure that they are still in that cuddly newborn stage.
I am a member of the International Association of Newborn Photographers and have taken several classes on newborn safety and posing. Safety is my number one concern when photographing your brand new bundles of joy. I know my prices may not be the cheapest in town, but as I always say, "you get what you pay for." So often I see pictures posted from "cheap" photographers and it really frightens me to see how unsafe some of those poses or props really are. Please, please do your research when booking your newborn photographer. The last thing you want is something to happen to the most important person in your life because you wanted a cheap photographer!
Ok, public service announcement over.
After we get past the newborn stage, babies two months to one year are much faster with their portrait sessions. We roll through these rather quickly to keep the baby happy. My baby sessions last up to an hour depending on how cooperative the baby is. I always tell Mom and Dad to bring two to three outfits (or a couple naked baby pictures are precious too) to keep the session interesting. During these sessions are when we really get to play with props and ideas that the parents may bring to me. I always encourage parents to give me ideas of what they want out of the session so they can have unique portraits. Whether it is Dad's collection of John Deere tractors, or Mom's old jewelry from when she was a baby, I want to make your baby's session special!
So, now that you have heard how much fun and excitement baby portraits taken at KP Photography are, why don't you message me today so we can get you signed up?! I would love to meet you and your little cuties! You can see more of my work by visiting my website: www.katiephillipsphotography.com
I hope to hear from you soon!
