Fall is to photographers like spring is to accountants. It is the busiest time of year, and we are all just trying to stay afloat. We are photographing lots of families, preparing for Christmas sessions, culling through hundreds of photographs, editing said photographs, keeping up on social media, blogging, answering emails, ordering products, invoicing, staying on top taxes, and most importantly, trying to find time to spend with our families. This job is so rewarding, and I am so thankful that I have been able to fulfill my dream of being a full time photographer for two years now, even though I have been pretty frazzled these past few weeks!
In an effort to stay on top of my blogging, I am going to *attempt* to blog one session every day this week. Fingers crossed I follow through that thought.
This lovely family is the Phillips family. Not to be confused with *my* Phillips family, this is another Phillips family that I believe is no relation to me. I met Julie and Miss Evey this spring when Evey came to the KP Photography studio for her one year portraits. Julie messaged me last month and wanted to get some family portraits taken, so I was delighted to be able to see them again, and meet the rest of her family.
We had our session on an October evening planning on cool weather, and fall colored leaves. Instead, it was 87 degrees and it looked like summer (and felt like it too!) The bugs were absolutely miserable the night of our session, and poor Evey did not enjoy them attacking her, so she had a tough night. We were still able to capture some beautiful portraits regardless, and here are just a few. Aren't they a good looking family?
I look forward to watching this family grow up through the years and hope they come back for another session in the future!
