Last week I photographed this beautiful family for their annual family portraits. We had big plans in store for their session with props, blankets, a change of clothing, but all that changed about ten minutes into the session. Just as we had wrapped up the first portion of our session, we headed back to our vehicles to change props and move to a new location. That was when I set my camera bag down inside the back hatch of my vehicle, closed the door and it automatically locked with my keys still in the bag!! All my props, my keys, and my phone were now locked inside my car. By the grace of God, I still had my camera around my neck. This family was so understanding and just went with it.
So, I hopped in their truck, and we drove to our next location where the sun was just starting to set, and that was when magic happened. These little girls were gorgeous, and did so well at their session. They followed directions, acted silly, and I think they had a pretty fun time. I am happy to report, that I was able to tell their elf how good they were so Santa should be bringing them lots of good stuff this Christmas!
This session taught me a lot! I need to slow down, and not let this busy season get the best of me. Never set my bag down in my car unless my keys are in hand, and you definitely do not need props to make stunning images! These are just some of the best ones from this adventurous photo shoot!
