Introducing twelve day old, Amerson! He was such a good boy, and slept nearly the entire time that he was at the KP Photography Studio last week. I have been photographing his family for years, so it was such a joy to be able to photograph him as well.
Amerson comes from a Native American background, and his parents really wanted to incorporate that into his session. Last year, I photographed his older siblings wearing their Native American head dresses, so his mom wanted to create another picture with all three kids with the same setup. We also decided to do another Native American themed portrait with him sleeping in a teepee. It was an easy DIY project that I made out of a few dowels, some burlap, twine, and hot glue that I had laying around the house. We tried to get this image at the beginning of the session but Amerson was not in a deep enough sleep, so we moved on to the bean bag for some poses, and came back to the teepee at the very end. I am so glad that it worked out, as this is one of my favorite newborn images that I have created.
I had a lot of fun photographing this sweet boy and his two siblings. I look forward to watching him grow, and I hope you enjoy these images of Little Amerson as much as I do!
