Last week, I had itty bitty little Elliot in the KP Photography studio for his newborn portraits. He arrived a few weeks early and weighed in at just over five pounds. His mom chose me as her photographer because I photographed Elliot's cousin, Abigail just two weeks before when she came in for her own newborn session. What a joy it must be for their family to have two new babies just a few days apart!
We started off Elliot's session with family and parent poses. You can just tell by looking at these images how much this little boy is already loved!
After the family poses, Elliot really made me work the rest of his portraits. In between cuddles, and feedings, and a few hundred diaper changes, I was able to pull off some pretty precious pictures of him. He even gave me a quick smile!
Thank you Elliot and family for letting me document your newborn portraits! I truly mean it when I say that I grow a special bond with every newborn that comes to my studio. Watching them grow is such a rewarding part of my job!
Are you thinking about scheduling a newborn portrait session for your little one? I usually suggest booking your session in your second trimester or early third trimester to guarantee availability around your due date, since I photograph newborns between five to fourteen days after delivery. However, I also take last minute sessions too if my schedule allows it. Please contact me today if you are interested. I would love to chat with you!
