My babies are not babies anymore! My twins, Alex and Nora are now eighteen months old (technically, almost nineteen months old now) and I swear they are way more work now than they were as newborns! They love climbing onto, and reaching for everything they should not be! They are definitely a lot of work, but it is also fun at the same time being able to play with them and teach them new things everyday. They love showing off their big muscles, giving the best hugs and kisses, saying hi and bye to absolutely every person we run into, and singing their favorite song, "Liggie liggie laaaaaa!" while throwing their arms in the air, (I have no idea where they got that song from!)
As usual, my kids gave me about a five minute photo shoot for their eighteen month portraits. Alex is always my little model and it takes nothing for me to get a smile out of him, but Nora, well, she was her typical stubborn self for this session, like nearly every other session I have had with her! She wants to run, and play, and not smile at the camera, and I think I am finally just giving up on it, and going with the flow with her. I love Alex's posed pictures, but I equally love Nora's unposed pictures. They are so often grouped together as "the twins" so it is nice to see that they really are two different people with different personalities, and that surely shows in their pictures.
Time really does need to slow down, but until then, I will cherish these sweet memories that I get to make with my beautiful big babies!
